Pencil Holder (2018)

Motivation:

In order to gain shop access my freshman year, I had to go through the Makerlodge program. A part of this program was building a pencil holder.

Description:

This pencil holder was cut on a bandsaw. The holes are done with a drill press. The holder was then sanded. The red gear was laser cut and the black gear was 3D printed.

Lesson Learned:

The Makerlodge used the laser engraver to mark the spots of the holes for the gears. I had never seen this done before, but thought it was brilliant to make sure the holes were in the correct spots.
