Metal & Glass Lamps (2023)

Motivation:

I wanted to build a project that could easily be turned into a beginner class for making.

Description:

The glass panels are cut stained glass sheets. The metal shapes were cut on a CNC plasma cutter and then assembled using a spot welder. All metal was sanded to reduce dross. A wipe on poly was applied to prevent rust. On later versions of the lamp, a rubber trim was applied to the glass to dampen movement and protect it.
